Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) can easily be found at any supermarket. Many people wouldn't give it too much thought because it's mainly used in making salad dressings (unless you read the blogs that mention using it as an ingredient for fabric softeners, or even hair conditioners, yikes!).
Surprisingly, it has countless health benefits, such as lower blood sugar levels, heartburn remedy, lower cholesterol levels, weight loss, and the list goes on. Not many people are eager to add it to water and just drink it (for obvious reasons), and it takes some time to get into this habit, but it's really worth it. Adding it to your food works as well, but most of the times the method mentioned earlier is much more efficient. Just add a teaspoon to your water and drink it on an empty stomach.

This means that it could help you lose weight. There have been several studies made which proved that it makes you feel fuller, therefore it decreases your cravings and calorie intake. The problem is that this can be achieved while eating healthy meals only. It will not do miracles for people who are sugar addicts, but it’s definitely a food they should add to their diet.
This was proven in several studies made on rats. It is not 100% proven that it works for humans as well. In any case, it’s worth a shot. ACV may contain chlorogenic acid, which protects HDL particles from oxidation. This is very important because we need the HDL. It is crucial for our heart health. Some studies on animals also showed that it reduces blood pressure, which is another asset. , ,
We all know that people with diabetes need to stay away from refined carbs and sugar, but vinegar can become a powerful aid in these circumstances. It has been shown that it improves insulin sensitivity by 19-34% if you add it to a high-carb meal. It also lowers insulin responses and blood glucose. However, do not use this as a treatment. Feel free to use it in order to prevent or to improve symptoms, but if you are taking pills, you need to discuss it with your physician.
ACV contains acetic acid, which can kill different types of bacteria or stop them from increasing in number. It was used by our ancestors as a disinfectant. Many housewives find this ingredient extremely helpful. They can use it as an all-natural household cleaner by mixing 50% water with 50% ACV in a spray bottle. It can even repel fleas on your pets. ,
Last but not least, it can do wonders if drunk with water and lemon. You may find it sold as a "detox drink" for 10$ ins some fancy lounge!
But apart from looking healthy and fancy, it's good to know why is it labeled as a detox drink.
ACV works as a liver tonic, helping it function better. It stimulates lymphatic drainage and regulates your body's pH.
ACV is very helpful if you have IBS, gastritis, or other intestinal issues. ,
